treated once at 14 DAT and the 2e4 plots received a second
application on that same day fromthe opposite side of the crop row
(i.e., the first application was delivered from the inter-row area
north of the crop, while the second application was delivered from
the inter-rowarea south of the crop). Similarly, the 3 and 4 plots
were treated 33 DAT and the 4 plots received a second application
the same day from the opposite side of the crop row. In 2014, grits
were applied 10 and 31 DAT in the 1 and 2 treatments,
respectively. In contrast to 2013 methods, grits were applied only
one time at each of the two calendar intervals; thus, grits were
delivered from only one side of the crop row. Reduced application
frequency was possible due to reduced ambient weed seedbank
abundance in the 2014 trial.
