Considering an appropriate size for all office
workers, chair height (5

percentile = 37.8 ± 4.3
cm) was appropriate to the participant’s popliteal
height (5
th
percentile = 37.6 ± 4.6 cm).
Individually the levels of most workstations (75.6
%) were higher than the elbow height of workers.
This optimized ergonomic workstation for
individual workers may contribute to the incidence
of musculoskeletal pain. The sizes of the tables
and chairs shown in this study were the average
values, however, an individual fitting was
confirmed for the table height.
