This paper describes the development of experimental prototype of refreshing the past:
exploring ancient objects, stories, environment, was experiment held at the U-Thong National
Museum, Thailand. I attempted to create an interactive media installations to fit in original
physical space of Collective Museum that would be an engaging experience for the visitors,
allow ancient objects get more interest from the audience and also refresh the old space of
Museum, and that would be add to the understanding more information of historical objects in
the Museum, to develop a model for refreshing experiences in the Collective Museum with
Interactive Media and examine its impact on the visitor’s understanding and enjoyment of the
museum experience. The design study paper gives a flavour of the installation to fit in physical
space by taking the reader on a tour of the whole design and development cycle and also
discusses key issues stemming from field experiments in the development process when
technology meeting arts object in Collective Museum, U-Thong National Museum, review
methodology employed and provide a summary of preliminary findings
