This study showed that (1) overall growth was significantly increased by foliar Fe application, the highest values of vegetative and reproductive growth parameters were recorded in plants treated with FeSO4; (2) the lowest chlorophyll contents was observed in control plants; the highest SPAD index, Fv/Fm, and PI values of young and old leaves were found with FeSO4, while, there was no difference in SPAD index, Fv/Fm, and PI values of young and old leaves of plants between Fe-EDTA and Fe-EDDHA treatments; (3) the Fe treatment led to a significant increase of shoots Fe concentration in pepper plants, so that the highest shoot Fe concentrations were observed in plants sprayed with Fe-sulfate, whereas Fe-EDTA and Fe-EDDHA led to intermediate concentrations and control led to the lowest one.
