Planning Your Shoot, Shooting Your Plan
Planning your film includes envisioning your shots through storyboarding,
the technique of sketching out rough diagrams of what your shots and angles
will look like (see Chapter 9). You can storyboard your films even if you don’t
consider yourself an artist: Draw stick characters or use storyboard software,
like Storyboard Quick (www.storyboardartist.com) or Frame Forge 3D
(www.frameforge3d.com). Each comes with an eclectic cast of characters
along with libraries of props and locations.
