If an applicant wants to have passport mailed back , a self-addressed stamped envelope with sufficient postage ( Recommend using USPS $19.95 Express Mail Flat Rate / NO FEDEX ) must be included for the return of passport.
Required documents :
• For the purpose of conducting business and conference (Type “B”) [not including employment]
- Along with the same documentation required for Tourist Visas (e.g. Actual passport, two passport-type photos, visa application, copy of 'picture page' of passport, copy of 'Green Card', bank statement, airline tickets, etc. - see "Tourist Visa Requirements") please include:
- An original letter of invitation on company letterhead from the business host in Thailand stating the objective of the visit to Thailand.
- A letter from the company stating the objective of the visit to Thailand.
- A copy of the host’s Thai Business Registration and Thai Business License which is issued by the Department of Commercial Registration and certified by the Department not less than 3 months
- A copy of company’s profile of the business host in Thailand.
- A copy of list of shareholders from the business host in Thailand.
-Balance Sheet, Statement of Income Tax and Business Tax (Por Ngor Dor 50 and Por Ngor Dor 30) of the past 2 years.
- Documentation showing correspondence with trading partners in Thailand.

- An original letter of acceptance from the concerned accredited school, university or institution and a copy of the school's registration. Please note that if the applicant is not attending a university as a full-time student (for example attending a dive school, Muay Thai training camp, massage school, etc.), we may not be able to issue the multiple-entry visa.
• For the purpose of visiting family (Type “O”)
- Along with the same documentation required for Tourist Visas (e.g. Actual passport, two passport-type photos, visa application, copy of 'picture page' of passport, copy of 'Green Card', bank statement, airline tickets, etc. - see "Tourist Visa Requirements") please include:
To visit as a spouse of a Thai nationality, Fiance and Fiancee are not eligible for this category.
- A copy of a valid and effective marriage certificate.
- A copy of Thai passport /or Thai I.D. of the spouse.
- A letter from the spouse verifying that the applicant and the spouse are still married and the purpose to visit Thailand.
To visit as an immediate family member of a Thai nationality
- Documents proving such relationship with the visa application e.g., Birth Certificate and Thai Passport/ Thai I.D. of the parents who are Thai.
• For the purpose of volunteering with an NGO (non-government organization) (Type “O”) (if purpose is religious or missionary work apply for type R or R-A) - single-entry only
- Signed letter on the organization's letterhead stating duration of stay, duties, etc. along with a copy of the organization's registration. Single-entry Non-Immigrant "O" visa will be issued for the purpose of volunteering only (no multiple-entry visas).
• For the purpose of research (Type “RS”)
- Along with the same documentation required for Tourist Visas (e.g. Actual passport, two passport-type photos, visa application, copy of 'picture page' of passport, copy of 'Green Card', bank statement, airline tickets, etc. - see "Tourist Visa Requirements") please include:
- Requires an official approval letter from the National Research Council of Thailand (for more information please see http://www.nrct-foreignresearcher.org/index.php?lang=en)
• For the purpose of religious activities or ministry activities (Type “R” or Type "R-A") - No multiple-entry visas
- Along with the same documentation required for Tourist Visas (e.g. Actual passport, two passport-type photos, visa application, copy of 'picture page' of passport, copy of 'Green Card', bank statement, airline tickets, etc. - see "Tourist Visa Requirements") please include:
- Letter from religious organization in Thailand on their letterhead inviting applicant and stating duration of stay, duties, etc. along with a copy of the organization's registration in Thailand along with a copy of the organization's registration in Thailand
- Must have an approval letter from the Department of Religious Affairs under the Ministry of Culture
• For the purpose of working as a film-producer, journalist or reporter (Type “M”)

- An official note from the FILM BOARD certifying the purpose of travel.
Single-entry visa only
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Thailand launched the online media accreditation website or MFA Media Online Service (MMOS) on August 16, 2010. The MMOS is a system developed by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to streamline and expedite the online accreditation service for members of the foreign media intending to work or reside in Thailand as well as those wishing to renew their media accreditation, to extend their visa, work permit, and press card.
All members of the foreign media applying for media accreditation to work or reside in Thailand as well as those who wish to renew their visa, work permit and press card must submit their application through the MMOS web site. The "Guidance for Foreign Journalists Who Wish to Work in Thailand" is available at http://mmos.mfa.go.th/en/login.php
• For the purpose of official duties (Type “F”) e.g., military exercises or government assignments
- Along with the same documentation required for Tourist Visas (e.g. Actual passport, two passport-type photos, visa application, copy of 'picture page' of passport, copy of 'Green Card', bank statement, airline tickets, etc. - see "Tourist Visa Requirements") please include:
- An original official letter on official letterhead certifying the purpose of travel from concerned institutes in Thailand.
- An signed letter on official letterhead stating purpose of trip to Thailand and/or a copy of military orders (e.g. Cobra Gold Exercises)
