Moreover strain CYR1 successfully converted the different compounds into PHB. Among different compounds
CYR1 showed highest PHB production with phenol, naphthalene,
and 4-chlorphenol. The ability to degrade a wide range of aromatic
substrates and convert their metabolites into PHB will make the
Bacillus sp. CYR1 as robust bacterium and a potent candidate for
the chemo biotechnological conversion of waste to valuable
bioplastics.
