With many of us working longer hours, the last thing we want to do when we get home is over-strain our minds and bodies. Ironically, our intentions to work hard, through lunchtimes and without breaks, is actually hampering our productivity at work and exposing us to higher risks of mental stress, diabetes, obesity, heart disease and a host of other things.
Looking after yourself shouldn’t be a full time job or overly complex, and many people get discouraged by all the juices, lotions and potions available before they even get started. As Mark Zuckerberg says, “done is better than perfect,” and more often than not, it’s the little things you do every day that will benefit you the most. There are a lot of little changes you can make to your everyday habits at work, which will help save your waistline and your wallet. After all who wants to work out AFTER work–that’s what work time is for.
