Further, NLIN procedure performed in order to parameterize
Eq. (4) for the data sets of the three growth districts separately
showed that the parameter estimates were highly significantly
different at p < 0.0006. The comparisons further made,
exhibited that there were significant differences between
Gambo and Munesa ( p < 0.0001) and between Munesa and
Shashemene ( p < 0.0001), whereas k did not differ significantly
between Gambo and Shashemene. This difference can be
seen already in Fig. 1, where the height growth curves in
Munesa are steeper than those in Gambo and Shashemene.
Thus, the final estimates of the coefficients, k, are given by
growth districts (Table 3).
