This work aimed first to establish the validity of CFD simulations for numerically determining the ventilation flow in greenhouses. We compared our numerical results with the few existing wind-tunnel and full-scale experimental data. The accuracy of the computational predictions was found to be satisfac- tory when a two-scale k-8 turbulence model, such as the CK or the RNG model, is used for describing the turbulent part of the flow. This result creates numerous possibilities for improving the greenhouse design with respect to its ventilation efficiency
