In this paper, a neural network based solution for optimized power management of a
wireless sensor network is proposed. The approach can be added to any other power
management algorithm to optimize the task allocation of the sensors, and also it can
be used to find more optimized routing paths. This proposed neural network approach
can be applied to a wireless sensor network management technique and we observed
that the neural network can predict the final power level of each sensor with
approximately 13% of precision. We discussed that by increasing the number of
iterations in neural network training phase, we can increase the algorithm’s precision.
The future scope includes application of same in practical network.
