The CRJ200, which began development in 1989, was the world's first 50-seat regional jet. Based on the business jet Challenger, the CRJ200's cabin is stretched 5.7 meters while using the same fuselage cross section and cabin pressure capability. The 2.48 meter wide cabin features two-plus-two seating to carry up to 50 passengers. The CRJ200 is operated by two pilots and carries up to two cabin attendants.
