The antioxidant activity of extracts was estimated with the in vitrospectrophotometric method using synthetic ABTS radical cation assay (Re et al., 1999). Resultswere expressed as TEAC (Trolox Equivalent Antioxidant
Capacity). The content of phenolic compounds was analyzed pectrophotometrically according
to Singleton and Rossi (1965) using the Folin–Ciocalteu reagent.
Results were expressed as a GAE (Gallic
Acid Equivalent).
