Results of interviews with health workers and key
informants
Less than half of the health workers had sufficient knowledge
on the definition or management of PIH. Eleven of
the 25 health workers interviewed defined PIH as blood
pressure of 130/90 mmHg. Only seven mentioned that it
is from 20 weeks gestation and one mentioned that it
occurs up to 6weeks post delivery. Only seven respondents
could correctly state how PIH is managed according
to the reproductive health guidelines.
