At the age of 29, he left the palace and traveled to find out how to stop suffering. At the age of 35 he attained enlightenment on the full moon night in May, under the Bodhi Tree on the bank of the Nerunchara River. He traveled from place to place to teach people for 45 years. He died at the age of 80, under the Sala Trees on the full moon night in May. Then he became the founder of Buddhism.
