Benefits planning. This is the process for developing the benefits realisation plan. Benefits planning explicitly stipulating the means by which benefits are to be achieved ([2] Ashurst and Doherty, 2003). The plan is essential to effectively realise business benefits ([34] Ward et al. , 1996).
Key performance indicators are defined for each targeted benefit so that the organisation can continually monitor achievement of the benefits. The benefits realisation plan should also list responsibilities for delivering benefits.
