The manual scanner was also used to scan a sample
comprised of 9 rubber patches on foam poles. The nine
patches were divided into three sets of three patches each
corresponding to a different height, as shown in Fig. 3. Fig. 4
shows slices of the 3D SAR images at those different heights.
These images show the location of the rubber patches as bright
indications. Furthermore, the rubber indications vary in
brightness due to their relative sizes, and distance from the
waveguide aperture. These images also show background
noise, especially at image planes further away from the
measurement plane.
