Honolulu is the capital and largest city in Hawaii and covers most of Oahu’s southwestern shore. Note that Waikiki is actually a neighborhood located within Honolulu. Spanning roughly 1.5 square miles, Waikiki is where you’ll find the majority of Oahu’s hotels and resorts. Consider renting a car at the Honolulu International Airport to experience all of Honolulu and beyond. You can also arrange for Honolulu Airport transportation that includes, shuttles, private cars and taxis.
Convenient public transportation options include TheBus (http://www.thebus.org) and the Waikiki Trolley (http://www.waikikitrolley.com). Taxis are another great way to travel when in a group and the cost can be shared. You can find taxi stands at hotels, most major shopping malls and at the airport.
