Edinburgh is one of Scotland’s top travel destinations and renowned for its architectural history; it became a World Heritage Site in 1995. One of the main attractions for visitors is the beautiful Old Town where you can walk the Royal Mile; one mile from Edinburgh Castle to the Palace of Holyrood and all the quirky wee closes (alleys) and buildings in between.
The city has a fantastic cosmopolitan feel and really comes alive during the famous Edinburgh Festival in August, from the Royal Military Tattoo at Edinburgh Castle to the small street performances.
