The study included a total of 150 women (75 were the "improved"
group and 75 were the controls). Mean age ± SD was 63 ± 7.3 ranging
from 43 to 82 years.
Table 1 shows selected sociodemographic characteristics of the
study sample. It was found that around two thirds (65.3%) of the sample
were at the age of less than 65 years. Most of the women were married
