As informed by CA lab about N-Methyl-2-pyrrolidone (NMP) for KGD, during EHS audit this morning they found that the chemical is stored in same cabinet of acid for CA lab. The NMP is alkaline which can’t store into same cabinet of acid solvent. As checking, we have not using this chemical so far. On the hand, the NMP is not in list that CA lab control then can’t prevent mixing. EHS might issues CAR soon after have final summary this evening. Just need to confirm w/ you that do we still need the NMP for KGD? If no, then we would scrap this chemical. Otherwise, we must have control procedure to prevention about mixing with another acid in CA lab.
