Terminal hermaphrodite flower: This is the terminal flower, 2 mm in breadth, present on the main and axillary inflorescences, and on each cluster or group of flowers on the inflorescence.
2. Lateral hermaphrodite flower: These are dispersed among the female flowers and are present terminally on the first, second or even third branching of the dichasium. These types usually have pentamerous perianth and stamens.
3. Chlamydeous female flowers – large: These have pentamerous perianth, but lack stamens altogether and are just half the size (1 mm) of the hermaphrodite flowers.
4. Chlamydeous female flowers – small: These are present on the ultimate branches of dichasium. They are morphologically similar to type III flowers, except for their smaller size (0.5 mm).
5. Achlamydeous flowers – small: These are small naked carpels lacking perianth altogether and are present on the ultimate branches of the dichasium.
