Average maximum and minimum terminal velocity values of seed grains determined in this study are also presented in Table 1. The minimum and maximum terminal velocities of wheat, barley, sunflower, and lentil were obtained 9.86–10.27 m/s, 7.44–8.25 m/s, 6.13–6.61 m/s,and 6.99–7.72 m/s, respectively. The wheat seeds have the high terminal velocity, while the sunflower seeds have the low terminal velocity. Song and Litchfield (1991) determined that minimum and maximum terminal velocities for wheat (Dynasty) and barley (Kamiak winter) as 7.68–9.64 m/s and 7.33–8.10 m/s, respectively. Gupta and Das
(1997) stated that the terminal velocity of sunflower seed increased from 5.80 m/s to 7.60 m/s in the range from 4%to 20% db.
