A new study by researchers at the Bloomberg School of Public Health at Johns Hopkins University has found that children who are given antibiotics seem to gain weight more quickly compared to those who do not take them.
"Your BMI may be forever altered by the antibiotics you take as a child. Our data suggest that every time we give an antibiotic to kids they gain weight faster over time," professor Dr. Brian Schwartz says.
Researchers analyzed health records of 163,820 children between three and 18 years old from January 2001 to February 2012
