•The singa barong mask may weigh 30-40 kilograms—quite heavy—so the dancer must be very strong.
•The dancer holds onto the large mask by his teeth. He also traditionally carried a teenage boy on his head during the performance; nowadays this may be a girl. With this extra person, the dancer may be carrying 100 kilograms.
•The warok’s ability to carry the large mask and another person is evidence of his great physical and spiritual power.
