Funding for 1.33 trillion baht worth of infrastructure megaprojects will be included in the fiscal-2016 budget. They include electric trains, roads and water management.

Mr Somkid recently said the government would push joint private sector investment through public-private partnerships for three electric train routes this year.

They are the 56.7-billon-baht Pink Line (Khae Rai-Min Buri), the 54.7-billion-baht Yellow Line (Lat Phrao-Samrong) and the 82.4-billion-baht Blue Line extensions (Bang Sue-Tha Phra and Hua Lamphong-Bang Khae).
