1 Executive Summary
1.1 General
Our tender allows for the design, manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of all mechanical, refrigeration and electrical and controls as documented within this proposal.
All work will comply with local codes and meet standards set by Local Authorities.
If Milmeq are requested to execute any additional work outside the scope of the contract, such time would be charged out at our current work-day rates for labour and equipment.
A commissioning period of three working weeks has been allowed for, subject to the client's ability to provide sufficient product load to test all plant as required during this period.
Over and above a standard carton tunnel this proposal includes the following:
• Generous Operating Clearances to ensure reliable automatic operation
• Robust Pallet Construction including backstop to prevent carton over-travel
• Robust Structural Frame - Frame and rail supported designed to NZ Seismic Codes - utilizes 360 UB's as main columns.
• Cradle Creep Eliminated - The shelf which is hydraulically held at the correct level for loading and unloading can creep down. Milmeq carton tunnels include a positive locking system which completely eliminates creep.
• Shelf Identification System - A series of proximity sensors are located to read a binary code and positively identify each of the fourteen shelves. This information is used in our highly developed control system, but can also be used for computerized stock control.
The tunnel dimensions as proposed are completely flexible. Length, width, height can all be manipulated to suit building constraints.
Tunnel sheet metal is arranged to eliminate air bypass and maintain uniform air velocities over the product. Equipment and structural steel is located to minimize product shading.
The cooling equipment offered is fully automatic. No staff are required.
