Among Chiphat villagers, there is a growing awareness of
environmental conservation and environmental issues, in part due
the CBET project, but also through more general conservation
education efforts by Wildlife Alliance, and Live and Learn. These
efforts include open workshops on endangered species (tigers,
elephants, wild buffalo) and threatened habitat, environmental
education activities with Chiphat school children, an annual
“Environment Day,” and the public screening of videos on environmental
issues
