Suman
Ingredients:
2 cans of coconut milk
3 cups of uncooked sweet rice
2 tablespoons of salt
Pre-cut coconut leaves
Stearmer
Step 1: Soak the sweet rice in water for about an hour
Step 2: In a sauce pan or wok mix coconut milk and salt until boiled
Step 3: Heat the coconut leaves over the stove until it turns into a darker green shade
Step 4: Mix the rice and coconut milk mixture together.
Step 5: Fill the coconut leaves with the mixture like a log
Step 6: Place the wrapped suman in the steamer and cook for 2 hours or until the rice is soft
Step 7: Serve with sugar or ripe mango
