Lifting Plant
The Contractor shall provide and maintain safe and sound mechanical cranes, hoists
and conveying facilities for the lifting and transportation of materials. All cranes, hoists
and the like shall be fitted with overload warning devices. All such equipment shall be
regularly maintained in accordance with the manufacturer's recommended practices
and standards having regard to any legislation or recommendations from the Statutory
Undertakers.
Competent operators shall be provided for the control of all lifting and hoisting
equipment. Each item of lifting equipment shall, at all times be accompanied with at
least one experienced banks man.
