ExcelAlthough Excel is not designed to generate box-
plots, they can be generated using the Data Desk XL add-in that
is a supplement to this book. First enter the data in column A.
Click on DDXL and select Charts and Plots. Under Function
Type, select the option of Boxplot. In the dialog box, click on the
pencil icon and enter the range of data, such as A1:A40 if you have 40 values listed in column A. Click on OK. The result is a modified boxplot as described in Exercise 13. The values of the 5-number summary are also displayed.
