It is suggested that a hospital
in-service or orientation program that covers proper physical
restraint use should be regularly presented to all nurses.
In addition, the program duration of 90 minutes makes it
easy to arrange and manage as well as more attractive for
nurses to attend. However, this short-term education program
did not significantly change participants' attitudes
toward using physical restraints. As such, additional interventions,
such as including more problem-based scenarios
in the education program and/or creating a more
supportive working environment, should be developed
