Automaitc locking of electric parking brake
if Tiptronic S selector-lever positino D, R or M is engaged when the vehicle is stationary and if the driver's door is opened, the electric parking brake locks.
The indicator light on button P and the brake warning light ! in the instrument panel come on. For information on indecator lights and warning lights on the instrument panel:

Emergency braking function
If the conventional brake system has failed, the vehicle can be decelerated quickly and braked to a stop using the electric parking brake.
Press button P and keep it pressed.
The indecator light on button P and the brake warning light ! in the instrument panel start ot flash.
A warning signal also sounds and P appears on ghe multi-function is deactivated when you release the button.
WARNING Severe deceleration
Emergency braking takes place with very high braking power. the following traffic may be endangered.
Only use the emergency braking function in an emergency situation.
Do not use the emergency braking function to stop the vehicle when driving normally.
Brake waning light
If the electric parking brake could not be applied fully when the vehicle is stationary, the indicator light on button P and the brake warning light ! inthe instrument panel start to fash.

WARNING Blocked pedals
Unsuitable or improperly secured floor mats or objects can restrict pedal travel or hinder pedal operation.
Do not obstruct the pedal travel with floor mats or other objects.
Non-skid floor mats of the correct size are available from your Porsche partner
WARNING No brake force booster
The brade booster is ready for operating only while the engine is running. If the engine is switched off or there is a defect in the brake booster,much greater force has to be applied to the pedal when braking.
Vehicles with defective brakes must not be towed.
