This study aimed to isolate novel AAB strains whose features
make them applicable for industrial use. Thus, we first isolated,
identified and characterized novel AAB strains. We then examined
the ability of these isolated strains to efficiently ferment ethanol
into acetic acid in a lab-scale bioreactor at a high temperature. In
addition, the ability of selected strains to simultaneously produce
gluconic and acetic acids during acetous fermentation was
