Our qualitative study of 14 mothers suggests that few HCPs initiated conversation about dental health recommendations. All women should receive enc advice tailored to their Healthcare roviders have earlier contact with mothers than den- tists. This pattern of frequent well visits and longstanding relationship creates the responsibility for the mother and child's HCP to be involved in and even initiate this conversation.
