Chongqing Grain Group intends to invest 4 billion Brazilian Reals (US$2.4billion) in the complex, which will be primarily focused on soybeans processing. After the initial phase of construction the complex will have the capacity to crush 1.5 million tons of soy beans and create 300,000 tons of refined cooking oil. This will account for nearly 1/3 of Bahia’s annual production value. The group will also invest in a fertilizer factor and a dry port for grain storage.
