Guillermo Srodek-Hart was born 1977 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. He studied at the School of the Museum of Fine Arts & Tufts University, Boston, graduating in 2004 with a BFA and Diploma Degree. Four years later, he graduated from Mass College of Art with an MFA in Photography. After graduation, he worked at the David Rockefeller Center for Latin American Studies in Harvard University as a researcher for Dow, and in 2005 he worked in the Martín Chambí archive in Cuzco, Peru with Teo Chambi and the Argentine curator Leila Makarius, all the while working on the family ranch in the Argentinian Pampas 350 miles south of Buenos Aires. In 2008, Srodek-Hart was selected as one of the 30 most promising Argentinian artists in the book Arte Contemporáneo Argentino: Artista X Artista. His work is currently on view at the 55th Venice Biennale.
