Of note, soft-tissue infections were more common in Vibrio bacteremia (15/48, 31.3% vs. 4/77, 5.2%; p < 0.001) ( Fig. 2). Four cases of Aeromonas bacteremia and soft-tissue infections had necrotizing fasciitis. Of 15 cases of Vibrio bacteremia and soft-tissue infections, 86.7% (13) had necrotizing fasciitis requiring emergent fasciotomy.
