mstitutional racism thrcugh schooling. Philosophical presuppositions about the nature
of mathematb uhderpin the cont.ent cf the mathematics curriculum, and are
presupposed in assessment and pedagogy. Such factors all contributr to the cultural
domination of society through an epistemology, with an absolutist view of
mathcmatk:s as its centrepiece.
