You can choose to go to the Emerald Pool by either 1) through 1.4-Kilometer-long nature trail or 2) via 800-meter-long direct gravel path. If you are not in a hurry we would like to recommend you to do some exercise before jumping into the Emerald Pool by going through the nature trail since you can enjoy tropical rainforest and, if you are lucky, you might come across Gurney's Pitta, a very rare species of bird that used to extinct for 100 years; but watch your step, some part of the wooden bridge are slippery and rotten. While walking down the nature trail, “Sra Kaew” or “The Glass Pool” is the spot that we would like you to take a closer look. Even though you cannot dive into Sra Kaew, but seeing fish swimming in a very big-clear-emerald-water pond is really amazing. It is very hard to stop ourselves from jumping in but “Khao Pra - Bang Kram Wildlife Sanctuary” strictly forbid every visitor to swim in Sra Kaew. They would like to preserve the beauty as it is. - See more at: http://www.thaiticketmajor.com/Travel-News/Emerald-Pool,-the-miracle-at-the-heart-of-Krabi's-forest-1672-en.html#sthash.ROArm1nx.dpuf
