Tables 19 to 28 have been prepared to permit the psychologist to evaluate a subject's performance on any test by comparing his score with the average of his age peers. This is a somewhat different approach from that provided by comparison with the scores of the reference group. In the latter instance, an individual aged 50 with a raw score of 22 on the Picture Arrangement test will be seen as having a scaled score of 9. This scaled score is below the average for the reference group. In Table 24 it is seen that a raw score of 22 is equivalent to a scaled score of 12, which is above average for his age group. Which fact is more important will depend on the context in which the psychologist is evaluating the subject's performance.
