Under more severe competition from
both domestic and international markets with
a recent launch of trade liberalization such
as ASEAN Free Trade Area (AFTA), Thai
manufactures must adapt themselves quickly
by increasing their productivity. They cannot
just rely on low-cost production since the
possibility for additional cost reduction is less.
Thus, it is necessary for managers of Thai
firms to know the factors that really help
improve their performance. Then, they can
pay more attention to these factors with their
limited resources and budgets, so their
resources will not be utilized wastefully.
