Very good picture but horrible sound
This set is a mix of very good and very bad. Let's look at this as "pros" and "cons"
Pros - Really nice picture for the price point. At 1080P, it can also work well as a computer monitor (great for a larger view from a laptop) and within the menu are advanced settings not normally found on television sets for fine tuning color. Also this set has a headphone output jack for an analog audio feed to headphones, external multimedia speakers or even your stereo. A USB connection is provided for playback of picture files. Naturally an analog PC connection is provided. Remote is handy and intuitive with a nice recess on the bottom to help it stay in your hand.
Cons - Very poor sound quality. Even at being a 24" set, the sound just does not match the picture. Turning off the simulated surround effect helps a lot (is on by default) but the sound is very harsh and tinny to the point of being ear grating. I turned the treble control down just to stand it. Also you are limited to a single HDMI connection which is right next to the power input (which is an external adapter) which may be in the way if you use a Fire Stick or Chromecast. The tuner is somewhat weak vs, other sets I've owned, but not a deal breaker.
Overall, after 1 week of use, I am returning the set. I purchased this instead of a 32" set as I use it in my home office and need to move it from time to time - or I'd connect computer speakers to it. The horrible sound is truly the deal breaker here.
