Therefore, this work attempted to (i) test the biochemical model of photosynthesis for a short and dense canopy of pot chrysanthemum under variable levels of irradiance, CO2 concentrations and leaf temperatures, in comparison with the leaf model of photosynthesis, (ii) estimate the contribution of leaf photosynthetic rate of different leaf strata on the canopy photosynthetic rate, and (iii) estimate the light distribution and net assimilation rates within the pot chrysanthemum canopy for integrating greenhouse environment control with cultural canopy management.
