The sample consisted of some employers / supervisors at the businesses in
the Eastern Seaboard Industrial Estate in Thailand. From all of those businesses that hired only secondary-educated
workers, 63 of them were chosen. The methods for collecting the data were an interview as well as an opinion
survey on the human resources managers who, in place of the business owners, were directly responsible for the
recruitments and the new hires.The data collected using an interview and a questionnaire. It was a structured interview that was used with the
human resources managers. The focus of the interview was on the skills and qualities needed for the employment.
For the survey, the questionnaire method was chosen for this job because it was the most practical way to assess the
information perceived by the employers. This survey focused on the perception of the businesses on the
employability skills. The questionnaire used 5-poin-rating scale. There were 80 items on the skills and abilities
required at work. The representatives from the businesses when answering the questions, would have to choose the
degree of importance of the skills required at work. In analyzing the data, Mean: M, Standard deviation: S,
Frequency and percentage and t-test were employed.
