Gbadamosi [2] employed the method of mixtures using
adiabatic drop calorimeter to determine the specific
heat capacity of palm kernels. The moisture content
of the kernels was not mentioned but the values
published were 3.98, 4.13, and 6.55J/g❽ for dura, tenera,
and pisifera varieties. More researches are obviously
needed here to compare these values.
