LAST YEAR, THE KUBOTA FAMILY
took a vacation in Key Largo,
Florida,in the U.S. When they arrived, they did not walk or drive to their hotel. They swam to their hotel, The Kubota family went to Jules'
Undersea Lodge. This unusual hotel is 21 feet (6.4 meters) underwater.
Jules' Undersea Lodge was not always a hoter. Year ago, it was a laboratory for scientists. The scientists studied fish and plants in the ocean. Two scientists, Neil Monney and lan Koblick, decided to change the lab into a hotel. The two scientists studied ocean life for many years.
They also buit underwater labs. They knew that people enjoyed looking at fish, and swimming with them, too. Guests at the lodge must know how to scuba dive before they go to the hotel. The Kubota family didn't know how to dive, so they took a three-hour class first. Then they all put on wet suits. They dove down to the hotel together. Before they entered the lodge, they stopped at the "wet room." There they took off their wet suits and they dried off.
Then they entered the hotel.
Jules' Undersea Lodge is no very big. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom, and a living room, There are large windows, a TV, and a telephone. It look like a regular hoter on the inside, but there are fish outside the windows. Each room in the hoted has large, round windows. Sometimes the fish stop at the windows to look inside
The Kubota family enjoyed their unusual vacation. They enjoyed watching the fish and swimming with them, too.
