To stop hydration and prevent carbonation,
the crushed pieces were soaked in acetone and stored for
a minimum of 1 week. The crushed and grinded samples were
heated at a rate of 10 C min1 up to 1000 C under an Argon atmosphere
using a TG/DSC analyzer (STA 449C Jupiter, NETZSCH, Germany).
The content of non-evaporable water was calculated from
the weight loss between 120 C and 900 C.
