E’s breathing stops. He wants to do something. He wants to help his fr—friends…what can he do, what are they doing to them?! His heart races; he needs to do something quick. But all possibilities are cut off as the door of the room slams open and three doctors walk out first, and then E sees it…he sees how other two doctors are dragging the boy by his hair with force and how another one walks out carrying an unconscious girl in his shoulder. Everything falls. His legs won’t respond; he is morbidly fixed on the scene in front of him. How Saya looks so limp and…dead almost…, how Towa stares at him with tears in his eyes and fear, as how without words he begs E for help, he begs him not to give up, to help him, to help his sister. To do something.
But E’s body doesn’t react, it’s almost as his brain isn’t connected with him and all he can do is listen to Towa’s cries and stare at his scared face as he’s being dragged away.
After the doctors cross the door at the end of the hallway, E feels worse than crap. He feels horrible- he did nothing to stop this. He did nothing to stop it and now the possible last sight of his friends crying out for him is fixed in his memory. Nausea hits him and the albino tries his best not to vomit, but imagining what’s going to happen isn’t helping. He’s just a piece of crap, he did nothing to stop them, he did nothing to save them.
He should be the one dying instead.
