As mentioned earlier, POS is expected to contribute to work experiences fostering
feelings of PWB. Meyer and Allen (1997) have argued that AC mainly develops
through personal fulfillment. Employees, who associate their well-being with the
organization, are likely to form affective attachment with the organization. Hence,
PWB would mediate the relationship between POS and AC such that in the absence of
PWB, employees would not develop an affective attachment to the organization even
if perceptions of support from the organization were high. Therefore
